Yo Yo Honey Singh Biography


Yo Yo Honey Singh, born on 15th March 1984 at Hoshiarpur Punjab, is an Indian singer, music producer, rapper, actor and Bhangra producer. He has mastered his lessons in music from the well known School of Trinity. Honey Singh is lovingly called Yo Yo Honey Singh by his fans. He has attained fame by singing desi hio hop, bhangra as well as rap. The promotional song from the film Lions of Punjab, ‘Lak 28 Ludi Da’ attained the top most position in the BBC Asian Download charts in May 2011. Yo Yo Honey Singh is extremely popular in Punjab and has won awards like ETC award for best song Glassi in the year 2006, best folk pop singer award in the year 2008 and PTC Best Music Director award in the year 2011. 

His albums Brown Rang and High Heels rank the top of the charts on YouTube. His song Gabru- from the album International Villager-topped the Asian music charts. Yo Yo Honey Singh has acted in the Punjabi film ‘Mirza- The Untold Story’. Yo Yo Honey Singh has become the highest paid singer in the Bollywood cinema as he has charged a whopping sum of Rs. 70 lakhs for a film Mastaan. Yo Yo Honey Singh chose a special date triple 12 (12th December 2012) to release his first solo titled ‘Satan’, which was premiered on MTV India. He was shrouded in a controversy when the masses found some lyrics of his songs offensive and against the modesty of women. In the wake of this controversy he had to cancel his New Year concert. owever, Yo Yo Honey Singh bore this with stoic silence and denied penning the song. However, all said and done, Yo Yo Honey Singh is still a favourite and will remain to be so.
